Bit of background
My previous tank was a 90g+50g (R2R Thread) tied together to same sump that ran for almost 2 1/2 years before tearing it down and selling it as we bought our first home in the beginning of 2021. Also reason we sold it was because I wanted a bigger tank and since we bought a house, what better time to do so.
I bought the Reef LX back in Feb. and after some issues I had with the LFS I bought it from, I had to get my money back and buy it directly from WB. So while I've been waiting for the tank to arrive, I have been acquiring items for the tank. Some of the stuff I didn't need since I was planning on using the equipment from the last build. And since this build took way longer than what we were anticipating, I lost 90% of my coral, but still have a majority of my fish which I am happy about.
List of equipment that I know will be used on the tank
4 G5 XR30 Pro
4 MP 40's
Vectra L2
Deltec 1500i Skimmer
Alkatronic
Geo 612x2 calcium Reactor
Jebao DCP-2500 (will be used as a Power Filter)
Not sure if I will be using this hardware listed below
Apex 2016 (this might get changed out later on)
2x DOS (might get changed later on to something else)
2x WAV pumps
The tank will be a SPS dominate bare bottom tank using Marco rock. I will be running a modified version of the DSR method(Dutch Synthetic Reefing) with this tank. I call it modified since it will be running a CaRX, and will not need to dose their ALK, CAL products.
Since I've had some time on my hands, we started working on the rockscape for the tank already. I'm sure we will be adding a bit more rock later on, but I've include a picture of what it looks like on our work bench. No tank, no water, and no sexy corals but they shall come!

Let me know if you like the alkatronic.
Those poly tanks will be handy. 150 gallons work great for salt buckets
I love the aquascape.
Let me know how you like the xr30s. I’m considering the 15s
4 of these will be used for Flow in the DT, and a Vectra L2 will be the return pump. Should have plenty of flow to begin with in this journey, but there is always room for much more.
Picked these up from a local reefer and member cause the Brute cans weren't going to cut it.
Roughly 160G total between both Vats
I like the look of the alkatronic. Give it a review! I'd buy one if rock solid reliable and zero effort......
Some of the equipment being added to the tank
Deltec 1500I skimmer. Compared to my other skimmers, this is a beast.
4 Gen 5 XR30 Pro
Alkatronic to measure Alkalinity
